After dinner last night, my toddler and I took a walk around the yard- one last chance to get dirty before bathtime! Here are a few photos from the yard.
Our little house has a large wrap-around covered porch, and each year I fill hanging baskets for each of the "windows" between support posts. This year I chose petunias, verbena, and some vinca vine. I just filled the baskets last week, so they haven't yet achieved that lovely tumbling/overflowing point yet, but they will. I love these petunias with the dark purple throats.
Here are some of the pods on my pea plants, backlit by the sun- there are actual peas in there! My son and I cheated, and split open one pod last night. The peas are still quite tiny, but they were very tasty...
My giant clump of chives is in full flower- the bees absolutely love the blossoms.
And my "shade" garden enjoying its daily hour or so of late afternoon sun.

Those are some beautiful things growing in your garden!
I'm reading with interest since I'm considering joining a CSA myself.

Thanks, Scout! I loved this particular CSA farm last year and hope this year will be just as enjoyable.
